Student Welfare Committee

The Student Welfare Committee was formed on 20TH SEPTEMBER 2022, at KSHUDIRAM BOSE INSTITUTE OF HEALTH EDUCATION AND RESEARCH College envisions a conducive student centric teaching learning environment and compassionate interpersonal relationship between teachers and students. The Committee focuses on all round development of the students by addressing their needs, providing counseling to slow learners, and fostering positive psycho-personal motivation and guidance to them. The Students’ Welfare Committee is the head of all student extra-curricular and co-curricular activities on the campus. It acts as an interface between the Institute’s administration and the students to sort out matters concerning student welfare. The Student Welfare Committee is responsible for developing, reviewing, and evaluating plans and setting directions for student affairs in accordance with the vision, mission and strategic plan of the institute.
(i) The student welfare committee works for the overall welfare of the student which consists of student development program, counseling of the students, social activities and many more activities.
(ii) The Student Welfare Committee is responsible for all non-academic matters related to students, including — but not limited to — healthcare, financial assistance, accommodation, transportation, and incidents of ragging and misbehaviour.
  • Objectives

    To recommend on policies relating to student's welfare.
    To promote a harmonious atmosphere on campus.
    To focus on all relevant student issues determined by current events and/or by suggestions of the committee members.
    To support the students with various services.
    To recommend on the enhancement of students' facilities during their course of study.
    To provide a safe and secure environment for college students.
    To inculcate the values of personal responsibility and accountability.

  • Strategies

    The committee plans the activities in consultation with the Principal, IQAC Coordinator, and HoDs and coordinates the same with the Student Council and various Committees and Clubs.

  • Functions expected (Role & Responsibilities)

    To address various issues of the student community and resolve amicably.
    To facilitate the election of Student Council and monitor the activities of Student Council on a regular basis.
    To coordinate with the Examination Section.
    To ensure that the First-Year students enroll in Co-curricular activities.
    To coordinate with the Office for ID cards, Bus Pass, Admission numbers of First-Year students.
    To coordinate services of the Infirmary.
    To act as a liaison between students and parents concerning their health issues, especially when students are seriously ill, to admit them to the hospital.
    To be available to the students and parents for issue clarification and gate pass permission.
    To coordinate with the Library regularly for Book Bank and facilitate the collection of books from donors of I, II & III, IV-year students of all programs and hand them over to the Book Bank.
    To guide the Departments for morning assembly prayer.
    To coordinate with the Principal, Mentors, and Officials for the Scholarship.
    To represent Staff Council or Management for certain programs to give the welcome address or felicitate the guests.
    To attend meetings as and when necessary for all the above-mentioned programs.
    Monitor all the facilities availed by the students e.g., Medical, Financial, scholarship.
    Conduct orientation programs for students.
    Conduct various programs/competitions for student's growth in coordination with various departments.
    Provide an environment for emotional, spiritual, and social growth of the students.
    Orient eligible candidates for scholarship programs.
