The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) was established by India's Ministry of Human Resource Development to foster the culture of Innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions. The council aims to encourage students to develop new ideas into functional prototypes during their academic years.

Objectives

• Establishing a vibrant local innovation ecosystem
• Developing startup support mechanisms within the institution
• Preparing the institute for the Atal Ranking Framework
• Creating infrastructure for scouting and pre-incubating ideas
• Enhancing cognitive and technological abilities of students
• Hosting hackathons and idea competitions involving industry partners
